Our Lady's Pantry

Our Lady's Pantry is a part of the Wellness Program at Catholic Charities.  Through our wellness pantries we strive to provide healthy foods along with behavioral economics education to help make a systematic change in the lives of our clients throughout South Carolina.

Clients are able to choose the amount of food they are allocated according to their family size and are able to choose from items such as fresh produce, frozen meats, eggs, milk, and other canned items. Our Lady’s Pantry also has USDA food products stocked daily when available during operating hours.

Save a Smile Denture Program

Save A Smile provides assistance to clients in need of full dentures.  This service also includes a comprehensive dental wellness workshop to provide education on care and maintenance of dentures. 
 
Good oral health may mean the ability to carry out the basic physical and social functions that we normally take for granted. However, far too many individuals lack access to consistent dental care.  The lack of preventative and restorative care at critical points leads many to lose most or all of their natural teeth. Because the lack of attractive, functional teeth can inhibit the ability to function socially, economically, and physically, Catholic Charities provides clients with dentures to make a positive impact on all aspects of their life.

Rural Mobile Pantries

We are excited to launch our Rural Mobile Pantries in the Pee Dee area for those located in food deserts. Food deserts are definited as parts of the country vapid of fresh fruits, vegetables, and other healthful whole foods, usually found in improverished areas. This is largely due to a lack of grocery stores, farmers' markets, and healthy food providers. Stay tuned for route information! 

Produce Distributions

Continuing with the Client Choice model, we provide Produce Distributions through our food pantry partners. All are encouraged to come "shop" fresh, seasonal produce.

Senior Food Box (CFSP) Program

Seniors age 60+ may be eligible to receive a pre-packaged box of food. Once a month, we receive boxes from USDA through DSS for distribution to qualifying individuals. We are happy to help register seniors 60+ for this program.
