Our Lady of the Valley Catholic Center
A ministry directed by Catholic Charities of South Carolina.
A rural multipurpose community center established in 1941 to minister to the needs of the less fortunate in Horse Creek Valley without regard to religious belief, age, race, sex, national origin or disability.
Our Mission
To identify and respond to the unmet needs of the community in the Horse Creek Valley area of Aiken County, in the name of Jesus Christ.
Meet our Volunteer Staff
Minnie Glinski
Office Manager, Volunteer
Minnie is a retired federal government employee with 27 years' service. She was a purchasing agent and contract specialist. She was a member of St. Vincent de Paul for several years during which she served as treasurer. In May 2006, Minnie was asked by one of the Daughters of Charity to assist with the office work at the center under a six-month grant. In January 2007, when the grant was completed, she continued working with the sisters as a volunteer. Minnie is known as the go-to-lady! Whenever someone needs something done or has a question, she is the one they go to. In March 2011, Minnie became an affiliate of the Daughters of Charity
William "Bill" Levi
Maintenance
A wonderful blessing and a great addition to the Center is Bill Levi. He comes to the Center through a grant. Bill's a real handy man with a willing spirit, abolity to repair and maintain things, and has a warm and friendly personality.
